Interview the People who Shape our World!
Hi All,
ideaXme:
We harness the collective power of people who Move the human story forward™and reach out across the world to share knowledge of the future. We are a global podcast, creator series and mentor programme. Soon much more!
Mission: Invite everyone to learn about and participate in the future.

A few of you have asked me this week:
“What happens in the ideaXme ambassador interviewer group?” So, here it goes. This might also be interesting for people outside our immediate network to know what is actually involved.
ideaXme and each ambassador sources interviews. The ambassador is kindly asked to discuss an interview prospect before approaching the interviewee. Sometimes interviewees are sadly just not a fit.
ideaXme selects and trains ideaXme ambassadors. Selection is usually based on at least 10 years subject matter expertise (a strong social media presence and excellent English language communication skills — written and spoken) within the set area of specialisation that they wish to conduct ideaXme interviews.
The training is ongoing, providing ambassadors with regular tips and help within the ambassadors group but most often directly with ambassadors (daily for some people) providing help via online one to one guidance/training and/or direct and specific help via messenger. This is a time investment for us and the ambassadors — after all it involves learning a new skill!
We ask interviewers to notify us of the date of the interview so that we can schedule it.
Once interviews are carried out, we again provide feedback on how ambassadors can improve — be the best!
This involves (only some of the details):
Reminding ambassadors of ways in which audio and video quality can be improved.
How to position their laptops and themselves as well as where to look when conducting an interview. It can sometimes be the case that some forget to look at the camera. For any of you using Zoom you’ll know the disconcerting thing of wanting to look at the person you are speaking to when we should be looking at the camera instead.
We ask ambassadors to pass on these tips to their interviewees so that they are also shown in the best light.
We also advise on how to structure interviews. How to ‘interview’ as opposed to having a conversation. How to come across as professional rather than “as a fan”.
Once the interview is published we review the interview. If the picture and sound quality are passable we then edit the interview. Editing takes between 11/2 to 4 hours. Once this is done we then publish to 12 platforms in different formats.
Whilst, some of you want to know everything — I am conscious this is getting rather long. Feel free to email me if you would like to know more — that is you fit the ambassador criteria and would like to either perfect your existing interview skills or learn “how to” from scratch.
I hope this answers your questions and hasn’t bored too many with the details!
Have a wonderful day! Email: ambassadors@ideaxme.com
ideaXme also hosts a public interview playlist on YouTube. This is an area in which dynamic and highly talented students with big plans interview the people who shape our world. Want to know more? Please email: info@ideaxme.com.
